1. Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager – Pace Athletic

Pace Athletic is a run-specialty retailer with a fast-growing community, strong brand partnerships, and a mission to redefine what a running store can be: authentic, inclusive, and creatively unique.

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who can bring structure, leadership, and rhythm to our marketing function, connecting the dots between brand, digital, and retail to create campaigns that inspire runners, strengthen brand partnerships, and drive results.

About the Role

With a planned start date of January 2026, the Marketing Manager will lead campaign planning, execution, and brand strategy across both retail and e-commerce.

You’ll oversee a talented in-house marketing team, including our Community & Events Lead, Social Media Coordinator, Brand & Creative Lead, Graphic Designer, and Videographer, while working closely with our Digital and Retail departments to ensure every campaign feels cohesive across all touchpoints.

This isn’t a purely creative role. It’s about leadership, coordination, and connected planning. You’ll focus on building awareness, storytelling, and demand, while collaborating with Digital and Retail to ensure that demand is effectively captured and converted.

Marketing acts as the brand and content engine that fuels the Digital and Retail team’s funnel, working together to connect creative storytelling with data-led performance.

How You’ll Work With Other Teams

Digital Team (Performance / Acquisition)

  • Align on campaign objectives, messaging, and timing.
  • Work collaboratively to connect brand storytelling with digital strategy, combining creative, CRM, and performance levers to deliver results.
  • Ensure every campaign uses the full suite of digital tools (EDMs, paid social, landing pages, remarketing, analytics) for maximum impact.

Retail Team (In-store Experience)

  • Partner on in-store storytelling, product launches, and merchandising to ensure campaign themes carry through to the shop floor.
  • Collaborate on events, activations, and staff engagement that connect customers with our brand at a community level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage seasonal marketing calendars and campaign timelines that align with business and brand goals.
  • Create integrated marketing plans around key moments (Marathon Season, Trail Season, Global Running Day, Women’s Health Month, Sale Periods).
  • Coordinate brand partnerships, activations, and community events to strengthen relationships and drive supplier-funded opportunities.
  • Lead the creative and content workflow, ensuring consistent storytelling across social, video, email, blog, and in-store channels.
  • Collaborate with the Digital team on campaign objectives, tracking, and performance analysis.
  • Support in-store launches, capsule collections, and community events, ensuring they align with campaign messaging and visual direction.
  • Manage marketing budgets, supplier contributions, and ROI reporting.
  • Provide structure and leadership to the marketing team, ensuring priorities, communication, and deadlines are clear and achievable.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally within retail, sport, or lifestyle.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, comfortable balancing creativity with structure.
  • Experience leading cross-functional campaigns across brand, digital, and retail.
  • Confidence managing brand partnerships and supplier-funded initiatives.
  • A balance of creative flair and commercial acumen. You love storytelling but understand metrics.
  • A collaborative, adaptable approach. You thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.

A Typical Day Might Include

  • Meeting with the creative team to brief upcoming campaign content.
  • Catching up with Digital to align on campaign goals and strategy.
  • Jumping on a brand partner call to plan an upcoming activation.
  • Visiting stores to review merchandising or prepare for a campaign event.
  • Reviewing campaign performance and sharing insights with the wider team.
  • Working with Events and Community to plan the next run or activation.
3. Assistant Store Manager (Waverley, Castle Hill and North Shore)

Role Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store while leading the team in delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role plays a key part in team development, operational execution, and driving store performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, running, and retail, and brings strong leadership, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to every shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Store Manager with operations, rostering, coaching, KPIs.
  • Lead by example with customer service and product guidance.
  • Coach team to improve product knowledge and confidence.
  • Maintain stock, POS, back-of-house organisation.
  • Ensure visual merchandising and in-store energy are on point.
  • Oversee pair checks, size orders, inventory and fulfillment.
  • Celebrate wins and address challenges with empathy.
  • Lead onboarding and team development.
  • Engage customers and community authentically.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of retail leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in footwear or activewear retail.
  • Passion for the running or wellness community.
  • Comfortable with retail tech and POS systems.
4. Casual Sales Assistant

Role Summary:
We’re looking for casual team members who are passionate about people, movement, and creating great in-store experiences. As a Casual Sales Assistant, you’ll be the first impression of Pace, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping every customer move better. No two days will look the same. You’ll be fitting shoes, learning product stories, supporting visual merchandising, and playing an important role in the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised service and expert product advice.
  • Support fittings, product guidance, and customer experience.
  • Manage stock, VM, online fulfillment, and store upkeep.
  • Foster a high-energy, community-driven store feel.
  • Stay curious and keep learning about trends and products.
  • Support both online and offline retail channels.
  • Help wherever needed to ensure a seamless experience.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and people-first attitude.
  • Comfortable advising customers in a retail setting.
  • Love for movement (running, gym, sports, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn about retail tools and service skills.
  • Adaptable, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Flexible availability including weekends and sales periods.
