Pace Athletic – Participant Waiver and Release

This Participant Waiver and Release (“Agreement”) is entered into between Pace Athletic, its related entities, officers, employees, contractors, agents, volunteers, event partners and representatives (collectively, “Pace Athletic”) and the undersigned participant (“Participant”).

By registering for, attending or participating in a Pace Athletic run, event, activation, wear test, training session or related activity (“Activity”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that running, walking, training and related physical activities involve inherent risks. These may include, but are not limited to, injury, illness, accident, falls, collisions, dehydration, adverse weather conditions, road or trail hazards, uneven surfaces, traffic, contact with other participants, equipment malfunction and, in extreme circumstances, serious injury or death.

I voluntarily choose to participate in the Activity and assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for assessing my own fitness, experience and readiness to participate before taking part in any Activity.

2. Medical and Health Conditions

I confirm that I am in good health and physically capable of participating in the Activity.

If I have a medical condition, injury, illness, pregnancy-related concern or any other health issue that may affect my ability to participate safely, I will seek advice from an appropriately qualified medical professional before participating.

I understand that I must stop participating immediately and notify a Pace Athletic representative where possible if I experience pain, dizziness, discomfort, illness, injury or any other health-related concern during the Activity.

3. Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and discharge Pace Athletic from any liability, claim, demand, action, loss, damage, cost or expense arising out of or connected with my participation in the Activity.

This includes, without limitation, claims relating to personal injury, illness, death, property damage, theft or loss of belongings, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

I understand that Pace Athletic may facilitate the Activity, but does not guarantee the safety of any route, venue, equipment, participant or condition associated with the Activity.

4. Personal Responsibility

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my own safety, personal belongings and conduct during the Activity.

I understand that I am responsible for arranging any insurance I consider appropriate in relation to injury, illness, death, loss or damage arising from my participation.

I agree to follow all reasonable directions provided by Pace Athletic representatives, event partners, venue staff and relevant authorities, including any safety instructions, route guidance or traffic rules.

5. Conduct and Participation Requirements

I agree to conduct myself respectfully and in a manner consistent with the Pace Athletic community.

Pace Athletic reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to refuse, suspend or remove my participation in an Activity where it reasonably considers my behaviour, fitness, health, equipment or conduct may present a risk to myself or others, or is inconsistent with the safety, wellbeing or values of the event.

6. Photography and Media Release

I consent to Pace Athletic and its event partners taking photographs, video, audio recordings and other media featuring me during the Activity.

I grant Pace Athletic a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to use, reproduce, publish, share and edit this content for marketing, promotional, editorial, social media, website and other brand-related purposes, without further notice or compensation.

7. Acknowledgement

By registering for, attending or participating in this Pace Athletic Activity, I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to this Agreement.

I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily and that I accept the risks associated with participation.
