Made for demanding training and competition, GU Roctane Energy Gel is packed with more sodium and more branched-chain amino acids (leucine, valine, and isoleucine) than its original gels.
Sodium is an electrolyte that helps with hydration. Amino acid reduce mental fatigue and decrease muscle damage. The amino acid beta-alanine helps promote formation of the intramuscular buffer carnosine, while ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate helps promote muscle repair.
The 100-calorie packets contain carbohydrates (maltodextrin and fructose) that use non-competing pathways to help maximize carbohydrate absorption and utilization while diminishing stomach distress.
Note: Each flavour of GU Energy Gel include various amount of sodium, amino acids, and caffeine. Check label on package.

"I've used these on longer runs and they've worked really well. Easy to take, sit comfortably in the stomach, and provide a noticeable energy boost when needed. The flavours are good without being overly sweet, making them easy to use during long sessions."
"Love these, will be back to Pace Athletic to buy more!"
"I prefer my gel consistencies less thick. Overall decent gel, but if you prefer less thick texture may not be the best one to go with. Otherwise decent taste :)"
"Gives just that little bit more than the original GUs. Great stuff!"
"So good I’ve started eating this instead of breakfast."
