Traction and 10mm Drop for Slightly Wider Feet
"One of very few Salomon trail shoes available in a wider fit, though still not exactly wide compared to most brands. Had many pairs of these over the years. They offer supreme traction in wet, muddy conditions, offer excellent comfort for long days out (e. g. Rogains) and with a 10mm drop can place less strain on the calves than other shoes. Have become my go-to shoe for orienteering (cross-country) also. Only slight downsides are that soft uppers whilst comfortable can get damaged in rough terrain and that I have to glue the insole in place to stop it crumpling in the bottom of the shoe whe tackling steep decents in wet conditions."
