"Perfect, bouncy"
"Look cool but hurting my partners toes after runs. . he's still trying to wear them in and see if he can make it work."
"Best shoe so far."
"I average 1500km out of each pair of Saucony Kinvara I have bought over the last 4 years and cant complain about a single thing. Every new release seems to get better and better, and the Saucony Kinvara Pro didn't let me down."
"Despite some mixed reviews from the online community, I was intrigued by these. Judging by the descriptions of the feel, I thought they would work for me and I was right. I’ve been using them as an easy to tempo shoe and they are a super smooth and effortless ride. I find they work best at paces from 4:15 to 5:30 per km. They can go faster, but there are other shoes I would choose to run in for faster paces, such as the Speed 4. The heel to toe transition is super smooth, possibly the smoothest I’ve run in. The shoe is rigid and the rocker is very prominent, more so than the Speed 4 and the Kinvara transitions smoother at slower paces. I’m 73kg and I’d say the midsole is relatively firm, but protective and compresses just enough to take the edge off the impact. I find the cushioning style here more forgiving than the Triumph 21. Despite there being no rubber outsole, I have found the grip to be excellent even in the wet. There are a lot of painted driveways in my area, which are often a nightmare in the wet, but the Kinvaras handle them as well as any shoe I own. The outsole is holding up pretty well so far though I’d argue there is slightly more wear than I would expect compared to a shoe with a rubberised outsole. The outside edge of the heel is the only area that is significantly affected and as a heel striker the wear is consistent with my other shoes. I do tend to go pretty easy on outsoles in general though. I’ve done about 120kms in my pair of US11.5. Why is the size relevant? Well that’s the only real criticism I have. I also own a US12 pair which I’ve done 160km in and I still don’t know which size is better for me. The 12s feel long with a bit more than a thumb space at the end and the lockdown is a little less secure, but my foot feels like it sits correctly in the shoe. In the 11.5, I have a thumb width at the end, my foot still sits pretty well on the platform and the lockdown is a bit more secure, but my big toe rubs a little where the toe box tapers. My wife also has a pair and she doesn’t have this issue. She stuck to her regular Saucony size. For the record, my normal Saucony size is US12 and that has been the case for the Triumph 21, Shift 3, Endorphin Pro 2 and 3 and the Speed 4, though I’d argue the Speed 4 also feels a little long compared to all my other Saucony shoes apart from the Kinvara Pro. In summary, it’s a great shoe that doesn’t replace or clash with the Speed 4. I’d take the Kinvara for slower paces any day and the Speeds for the faster stuff."
"Perfect shoe. Soft under foot but a balance of return and comfort gets you moving along rapidly."
