ASICS is on the mission to create a better-than-ever before marathon racing shoe. Named after Paris Olympic 2024, the Metaspeed Paris makes it to the top lightest carbon plated shoe in its class and gets a significant update in the FF Turbo+ foam, which is softer and bouncier! ASICS designed this shoe with two different running styles in mind, giving you the option to run in the style that feels most comfortable.

The Metaspeed Edge Paris is designed for 'cadence' runners who increase their speed by increasing the legs turnover, i.e. number of steps taken per minute. The carbon plate is angled in a spoon-shaped geometry and positioned lower in the shoe, providing an aggressive forward propulsion and for higher legs turnover. The forefoot also gets a 3mm increase in stack height for more cushioning, resulting in 5mm heel drop.

The new Motionwrap 2.0 upper is even more breathable and flexible for increased comfort and security. The updated ASICSGRIP outsole maintains superior traction with a lower density and weight.

Light, fast, versatile racer.

"65kg, 165cm, male, hobby marathoner (sub 3:15ish) 175spm, forefoot striker, slight stability needs. The Edge Paris have carried me to my current 5K PB (19:19 at Christmas parkrun) and are my go-to choice for everything from 5K to HM. They're smoother than the Sky Paris for my mechanics and have less of an aggresive rocker which make them more forgiving when I can't keep on my toes. I'm a bit of a lopey runner so these help me keep my cadence up and turn over quicker. The wrap upper is the best fitting upper out of all the the super shoes I've tried, and the huge perforation means airflow is abundant. I save these for when I really want to go fast and do a proper benchmark/race effort and they never disappoint. They are a TINY bit short, so if you have a longer foot, you may want to half size up. I have the usual half thumb width in front of my toes whereas there's a full thumb in my Adios Pro 3s. Plenty of room in the toebox upper means I don't have any issues though."

"Really enjoy wearing this . It has less foam and the carbon plate is differently positioned to its sister the sky Paris . However , for experienced runners with high cadence who are relatively lighter in build , it’s fantastic . You can accelerate and get on your toes more easily without the “ clunk” of other supershoes."
