"Just run for about 130K with only one race, Sydney Marathon. Poor Quality."
"Got these at nearly 50% off full RRP. Super bouncy and nice energy return. They don't feel as fast/agile as the other super shoes, but to me it makes up with more comfort and support. Not a fan of shiny and sparkly colorways, but after seeing them on my feet, this one I can get used to!"
"Perfect session shoe - responsive but also supportive"
"Light, bouncy and responsive. Comfy and supportive and keep the legs feeling fresh. I did have a bit or trouble with a bit of the grip layer of sole peeling back on one shoe. Pace athletic we’re great at exchanging these under warranty. Looking forward to using these on race day!"
"Incredibly comfortable and bouncy with the rocker propelling you forward while maintaining stability and grip. Slightly heavier than other race day options but expecting and assuming trade-off will be more durability thanks to the outsole and upper design."
"I'm a marathoner, mileage anywhere from 120k to 140k a week. I use this as my workout/long run shoe, it's bouncy and responsive, holds up to more mileage then I expected for a carbon racer. Could easily use as a raceday shoe, and it would absolutely get the job done. I've rated 4/5 with the only negative being the weight, as you really do feel the extra weight when compared to running in the Asics Metaspeed Sky, which in my opinion is the best racer on the market currently."
"Great race day shoe. True to size. A little unstable on tight corners"
"I purchased these shoes only because they were heavily discounted. I was surprised at how good they felt. Fit was excellent and true to size. No rubbing or blisters. Cushioning and rebound of the midsole foam was the perfect blend of firmness and response. Stability was good too. Outsole was good and I had no loss of grip. I primarily use these shoes for runs over 2 hours due to their comfort and ability to save my legs from fatigue the next day. I can't comment on durability at this early stage. There are a number of drawbacks. Firstly the upper material which is heavy and nowhere near the class of top tier racing shoes. Secondly, the weight which again is much too heavy to compete against its peers. Thirdly, the laces whilst improved are still not as good as peers. These drawbacks are the reason I only give these shoes 4 out of 5 stars. I could never recommend these shoes at RRP but they are worth it on a 30-45% discount. If I were to pay full price I would only be giving these shoes 3 stars because they are greatly overpriced."
"The Hoka Cielo X1 is a carbon-plated racing shoe with excellent cushioning and responsiveness. The toe box is comfortable, and the heel provides solid support, making for a smooth and stable ride. Compared to competitors, it is slightly heavier and more expensive, but the build quality is flawless."
"Great show and easy no brainer to pick up when you want something fun to run in for harder workouts"
