UPPER

New technical mesh upper technology made using Leno weave technique is breathable, quick-drying, and holds it structure well.

OUTSOLE

The outsole design has been analysed in detail using the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tool to optimise the shape, orientation and density of the lugs.
From over 200 lug configuration design, a small number were selected by the software and then tested in the field. This process has resulted in the most advanced Mission Grip to date - featuring 3.5mm lugs with excellent grip.

Love this shoe so far,

"Love this shoe so far, I’ve actually been looking for a good trail shoe for ever and have bought and tried many but keep resorting to using Nike alphaflys on the trails which I love but go through them too quickly. These ON trails really support my heel so it’s not moving around like it does in other trail shoes but roomy in toes so shouldn’t have issues on 100+ km races. Super lightweight, bouncy which I love for long distances. Supportive under arch and i would say is a narrow shoe in mid foot but i have a narrow foot so thats good for me. I got an 8. 5 for this ON shoe but i get 9 in Nikes for long distances"

"This is a nice shoe. The dual density HF midsole and fibreglass plate work really well with the rocker to give a very smooth and efficient turnover. It does feel pretty high off the ground so maybe not ideal for really technical trails. The upper is nice and roomy in the toe box but very snug over the mid foot. There is noticeable arch bump in the shoe which gave me some arch irritation on one foot during a long run. This is the only reason it’s not 5 star as otherwise it is an excellent trail shoe."

Comfortable but fast!

"I have had the On Running Cloudultra Pro now for a couple of weeks and have logged nearly 100km in them. I am finding them to be an extremely enjoyable shoe. The upper took a couple of runs to soften up and feel good, but I am loving the fit, comfort and lock down now. I bought a half size down from my usual size as they are a bit longer than my normal US12's. The width is spot on for my liking, not too tight, but not too wide. The midsole is so nice. It is soft and comfortable for long runs, but bouncy and responsive when picking up the pace. The outsole is on the minimal side, but grips surprisingly well in most conditions, except for mossy wet rocks. I have been using the Cloudultra Pro's for all my runs. They are awesome on fire trails and smooth single track and even road. They are a little too soft and high stack for technical downhills, but can certainly handle them, with care. They climb beautifully. Overall I would rate the Cloudultra Pro's as one of my favourite all time running shoes. They are comfortable, but light and fast and are a joy to run or walk in. I highly recommend giving them a try."
